You know the Israeli ISPs and telcos push for wireless at home is sucessful

When I sit on the lawn in front of the house, in my small middle-class neighborhood, and you get this list of wireless networks.
My god! Its full of networks!
(there are actually a few more which I was detecting earlier but where not there when I took the screenshot).

Taking the limited range of detection on my internal wireless card, and what I know about the number of surrounding apartments, I’d guess that about a quarter to a third of my neighbors have a wireless network, only about half of them are encrypted. Others are either MAC blocked or free to use (I’m actually posting this using one such free network because I can’t login to my access point which is on the other side of the building).
