In Israel neither of these phones is yet to be offered by cellular provider (which is the primary way how people get phones in Israel), and I expect that at least the P1i will probably never be made available that way – There’s an official Nokia importer that calls itself “Nokia Israel” so most Nokia devices eventually find their way into the major points of sale, but this can’t be said the same for Sony Ericsson.

Regarding the camera – the P1i has perceivably better quality when taking pictures (if you don’t forget to remove the protective film after you unpack the phone for the first time, like I did), though I think its mostly due to the software on the phone that operates the “view finder” and the picture preview: both phones state a 3.2 MPixel imaging chip, which is higher then their internal screens can show anyway, and from looking at pictures files from both devices on a computer I can’t say that one is superior to the other.
